Statement of Faith
We believe:
- The 66 Books in the Bible are God’s Word, authoritative andsufficient, and the norm for human behavior and doctrinal teaching.(Matthew 22:23-33; 2 Timothy 3:16)
- There is only one true God, YHWH, who exists in uncreatedspatiotemporal eternity as the Trinity of the Father, the Son, and theHoly Spirit; three persons of the same essence and of the same perfectdivinity. (Exodus 3:14-15, 25:8; Psalm 102:24-27; John 1:1-2;Corinthians 8:6; 1 John 5:7)
- Jesus Christ is the second person of the Triune God, the Son whoexists as visible YHWH from the eternal past. He is the craftsman ofcreation and the mediator between God and men. Before theIncarnation, there are Old Testament appearance of Christ in humanforms (Genesis 14:18-20; Exodus 3:1-14; Isaiah 6:1-10; Proverbs8:22-30; Psalm 110; Acts 4:12; John 1:18, 8:58, 12:41; 1 Timothy2:5; Hebrews 7:1-3; 1 John 2:1)
- During the Incarnation, Jesus Christ was conceived by the HolySpirit, born as a man through the Virgin Mary, lived as a man onearth, and died on the cross for man’s sins. Buried after death, raisedfrom the dead on the third day, and now sits at the right hand of theFather as the high Priest in the heavenly tabernacle, interceding forbelievers. One day Christ will come again to establish the Davidickingdom on earth and believers will reign with Christ on earth asroyal priests for 1000 years. (Exodus 19:5-6; Psalm 2; Matthew 1:18-25; Mark 16:19; Luke 1:32-33; Acts 1:6-8; 1 Corinthians 15:23-25;Romans 1:1-4; Ephesians 1:20; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Hebrews1:3, 7:25, 8:1-2; Revelation 5:10, 20:1-6)
- The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Triune God, who is presentin believers to convict sin and gives new life during both the Old andNew Testament times (Psalm 51:11; Isaiah 63:10-11; Hebrews 6:4)
- After the resurrection of Christ, the Holy Spirit dwells permanently inbelievers. Christ baptizes believers into the Holy Spirit who immersesand washes believers into one body of Christ. The Holy Spirit givesbelievers various spiritual gifts according to His will to serve in thechurch. He will fill obedient believers to live the victorious Christianlife (John 7:39, 20:22; Acts 1:5, 11:16; 1 Corinthians 12:7-11, 13;Romans 5:5, 8:16; Ephesians 1:13)
- Man was created in the image of God as a personal being with body, soul, and spirit. Man fell because he was tempted by Satan, the onewho tempts the world. After sin and death entered the world, thetimespan of man’s spirit of life from YHWH has been shortened frometernality to a hundred and twenty years. (Genesis 1:26-3:6, 6:3;Romans 5:12; James 4:5)
- Because of Adam’s sin, all human beings are mired in sin, separatedfrom God, and need the Holy Spirit’s rebirth in order to be saved.Salvation is by grace and through faith alone in Christ Jesus.(Ephesians 2:2-9; Romans 3:22; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Revelation 20:10)
- Satan was originally an angel, but later sinned and fell; evil spirits arethe fallen angels who followed him. Satan and his demons are againstGod, God’s plan, and God’s people. He is a deceiver, a seducer, whoprowls around looking for something to devour. He is determined tofrustrate and destroy God’s plan and God’s people in every waypossible. Ultimately Satan and the fallen angels will both fail and bejudged; Satan himself will be cast into the lake of fire and brimstonefor eternity. (Genesis 3:1-6; Ezekiel 28:1-29; Job 1:6-7; 1 Peter 5:8;Revelation 20:1-3, 7-8, 10)
- Angels like men are called the sons of God but angels will be judgedand ruled by human believers who will rule the world to come. (Job1:6; Psalm 82:1; 1 Corinthians 6:3; Hebrews 1:14, 2:5)
- Salvation consists of the forgiveness of sins, the gift of therighteousness of Christ, and the gift of eternal life; all by faith, not byworks. All who receive Christ as Savior and are regenerated by theHoly Spirit have eternal security in Christ and are able to inherit thekingdom of God. (John 3:3-16, 10:27-29; Romans 4:3–5, 8:35-39,10:9-13; 1 Corinthians 1:30; Ephesians 2: 8-9)
- The kingdom program of God is focused on the future of Israel andthe prophetic fulfillment of Abrahamic and Davidic Covenants. AfterJesus Christ is rejected by the nation of Israel, this kingdom programis revised by the introduction of the mysterious and mediatorialkingdom of church. (Genesis 15:6-21; 2 Samuel 7:8-17; Psalm 89:3-4; Daniel 9:20-27; Matthew 10:5-7, 12:22-32, 13:1-52, 16:18;Romans 11:25-26; Ephesians 3:1-11)
- The universal church was established by Jesus Christ. He is the headof the church, and the church is the body through which He serves. All born-again believers are members of the body of Christ,
- manifested through the local church. Every believer has spiritual gifts and functions and is responsible for the growth and maturity of the body of Christ. (Ephesians 1:22-23, 4:1-16; Galatians 3:28)
- The Church believers will be resurrected and will be raptured fromearth to heaven at the Second Coming of Christ before the seven-yearof great tribulation. After the tribulation, all church believers willreturn to earth and all Old Testament people who are saved will beresurrected and have eternal life. All saints will enjoy blessings in theNew Heaven and New Earth and will serve as royal priests in themillennial kingdom. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 19:6-10)
- The Church has two sacraments: Baptism and Holy Communion.Through baptism, the born-again believer witnesses to all that he wascrucified, buried, and resurrected with Christ, and no longer lives forhimself, but for Christ who dwells in him. The Lord’s Suppercommemorates the death of the Lord until His return; the bread andwine symbolize His body and blood. (Romans 6:3-11; 1 Corinthians10:16-17, 11:23-26)
- The blessing and fulfillment of the New Covenant of Christ are foreveryone (Israel and Gentile) who exercises a personal faith in Christ. This New Covenant is a renewal of broken Adamic Covenant madeby God with all humanity to be His royal priesthood in divine image.(Genesis 1:26-30; Hosea 6:7; Matthew 26:28; Mark 14:14; Luke22:20; 1 Corinthians 11:25; Hebrews 7:20-22)

- After the Great White Throne Judgment, all believers will serve Godin the New Heaven and New Earth for eternity (Revelation 21)
